Here is an old family recipe book that was made long before blogs became popular. We have just turned it into a blog so please have patience with us as we update pictures and info. We will also be adding some new recipes along the way.

Baked Potato Soup
2/3 c butter 2/3 c flour 7 c milk 4 or more large baking potatoes, baked, cooled, peeled and cubed (about 4 c) 12 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled 1-1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese 1c sour cream salt and pepper to taste
In a large soup kettle, melt the butter. Stir in flour; heat and stir until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Add potatoes. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; stir until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
